David is a passionate advocate for Wales, especially Flintshire, and its vibrant community, guided by a profound sense of duty to enhance the well-being of its residents.
His distinguished career reflects an unwavering commitment to community service and justice for working people, as well as a rich tapestry of experiences within the industrial, engineering, and manufacturing sectors and education, uniquely equipping him to address the multifaceted challenges facing Flintshire today.
For the last decades, David has mentored and guided the next generation at Coleg Cambria in the engineering department, working alongside local employers to ensure that people were supported into education. Skills shortages in specific sectors were addressed while helping those most at risk gain confidence and skills to promote better well-being and growth from the ground up, addressing many of the social demographic concerns that a failing political system has neglected over the past few decades.
Living in Connah’s Quay he is familiar with the issues that people have been raising, as he has faced them too, and his many years of experience of being a convenor with the Trade Union has allowed him the key skills to negotiate with people of all statures and professions to get the best results for all concerned.
